Day 1 after Chemo Cycle 1 – following “My Personal Call to Greatness!” – One month, 3 weeks
Yes, today, Stu walked with me and YIPPEE we did an hour walk up and down the hills and valleys of our beautiful canyon. My pace was a bit slower. I reached the 30 min mark about 5 min shy of my normal turn around point. Delighted, however, that I feel well and able to do the hour walk.
Anyone interested in joining me this week for an early morning wak – betwen 6:30 – 7:00 am for about an hour – hopefully, in Redstone Canyon? I listen to my iPod as I walk. Here are the days available this week:
“Above all, do not lose your desire to walk.
Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness.
I have walked myself into my best thoughts,
and I know of no thought so burdensome
that one cannot walk away from it.”

Joan King’s life path embodies the blending of the hard and noetic sciences. At the tender age of seventeen, she stepped into life at the Dominican convent in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Eleven years later she left that religious training to become a chemist, and then received a Ph.D. in neuroscience and psychology. Her twenty-year tenure as a professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, lead her to a dynamic crossroads of personal self-discovery. She left academia. Her new found "inner knowing" ignited the writing of her first book. It became the foundation in understanding how our bodies model the teachings of our beliefs. Joan King’s blending of science and spirituality birthed her professional coaching business, Beyond-Success LLC, in 1998.
