Day 26 – following “My Personal Call to Greatness!”

Just received the good news – no more surgery is needed! What blessings!

Yes there will be chemotherapy. Tomorrow we will design the regimen.

In this morning’s walk we covered 3.62 miles in 1 hr 3 min – back to my old time before surgery.

Thanks Brett for a great walk.

Before the walk I read the words of William James, a pioneering American philosopher and psychologist

“Each of us literally chooses,
by his way of attending to things,
what sort of universe
he shall appear to himself to inhabit.”

Wahoo!! That is such wonderful news!! Congratulations – your attitude is spot-on and I know you are up for the challenges and the gifts that are part of your next steps in this journey. And while the chemo will be no where NEAR as fun as the gorgeous walk we took this morning LOL, I know the memories of the foot crunching gravel, the music you heard, the birds, the rabbit, the butterfly, the fresh air, and, yes, even the sun and healthy sweat will be with you as you create new steps and memories. Best wishes on your appt tomorrow and give my best to Dr.M.

    Joan,
I had a feeling about this as I went to sleep last night. Love those feelings, and glad they were right!!! Can’t wait to see you again soon. You continue to amaze me.

You have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard the news. Wanted to write earlier but I had my 93 year old mother here for a week. I am recouperating big time. She wore me out – eating, shopping, a day at the casino! Info: She had colon cancer surgery at 72 (same thing as Ronald Regean is her claim to fame), had breast surgery (same as yours) at 76, and to this day takes NO MEDICINE of any kind. May she be your role model in your recovery !!!

Fabulous news. As I see it, your love, light and acceptance of what is created an environment that was inhospitable to ‘it’, so ‘it’ left. I am grateful and uplifted from your experience and how you handled it.

    much MUCH love,
    TE

P.S. sounds like your loopiness dissolved as well :-)

Joan–such great news. Glad to see your spirits are high. Hopefully, your treatment will be minor and you will be fully recovered in a short time. Love, Stacia
