Feelings of vast, immense gratitude emerge as my husband and I walked the roads of the canyon this morning. Yesterday, our neighbors and friends put on a Hootenany. The Ladies of the Canyon organized and executed a Silent Auction on my behalf. The auction raised $1306. The funds will be donated to Hope Lives Fort Collins, founded by Lydia Doty. It will benefit many who are faced with the challenge of cancer, including me. I am so blessed to have such generous, loving and caring neighbors, many of whom have faced or are also facing the challenge of cancer in their lives. I honor you all for your BIGNESS of spirit and love. In the words of one of my heroes, Albert Schweitzer:
“Nothing that is done for you
is a matter of course.
Everything originates
in a will for the good,
which is directed at you.“
Thank You!
Hi Joan:
I’ve been enjoying your daily messages as you continue on your personal call to greatness. I don’t know your definition of greatness, but if it has anything to do with being an example of how to face that which we’d prefer not to, you already have achieved the status of greatness! Thank you for your willingness to be transparent and share from your heart.
So often this past year I’ve reflected on the wonderful conversations we had last year as you prepared your title, description and slides for the ICF Conference in Orlando. What a memorable time of communion! I’ve basked in the glow of the warmth and camaraderie of those conversations so many times. What a lovely time of flow. Thanks for being you.
As I see your face in front of me and experience your presence, I am reminded that you are infused with the elixir of love and life.
Love and Hugs,
Lynn
Lynn, Your words warm my heart. My definition of greatness…. hmm…. I think of greatness is the willingness, ah, the surrender, to bring forth MORE of who each of us is, beyond our current self-knowledge, beyond who we know ourselves to be. There is always so MUCH MORE, because life flows to us anew each moment and that energy is limitless. It takes courage to open to allow more and more LIFE to flow through us, particularly because it involves delving into the depths of the unknown. Thanks so much for your comment.
